21st Birthday

Guess who turned 21 today?!?

That's right! Me! At 2:21 pm, I officially turned 21 weeks old. I've been looking forward to this day for weeks & weeks now & it is finally here!

Unfortunately, I found out that I have to wait until I'm 21 years old before I can enjoy a beer with my dad. It's really too bad I have to wait that long... maybe with a little coaxing (aka manipulation) I'll be able to talk Daddy into a beer a little sooner than that... I mean, I do have him wrapped around my little finger. No on the beer Daddy? Well how about a glass of wine? Pa-leeese? Oh boy, I'm good.

Well, I still felt it necessary to celebrate this tremendous occasion and with that, @ 2:21pm I started partying hard! Here are a few recent photos from my proud daddy. So far, I've downed 4 bottles of delicious milk and I'm feelin really good! (as I'm sure you can see.)
Only 4 more to go. Wish me luck & wish me a happy 21st Birthday!

Be sure to click on my photos to see them in close-up. I'm wearing my 21st B-day onesie for this special occasion. Ha! Sometimes I even impress myself.

Hi everybody! I'm SOOO sorry for not updating my blog lately. Ever since Christmas, I've been engrossed with all my new toys, all my new friends at baby-school and all the family that has been visiting!

And really, there is no excuse for my blogging - or lack there of.

I mean, I even have some killer new iTouch technology to help me out - thanks to Grandpa Bowers. If only Mommy & Daddy would ever stop using it long enough for me to have a turn...

I have so much to tell everyone about, I don't even know where to start.

I guess I'll go with what I'm sure everyone wants to hear the details of... my toys! Even though I am rarely short on words these days, I'm going to let Daddy's video tell this story of my new Fish from cousin Sam (that's right, it's Peyton's Fish):

I love my Fish. I love it, I love it, I love it. I can play with this thing for hours! Ok... what's next...

Oh yeah, Baby-School (aka DayCare)! Well, after all the stress that Mommy & Daddy went through - I have to say that I don't quite understand what all the fuss was about. I mean, this place rules. I get to hang out with seven other babies and every single one is so friendly. My best friend so far is Ava. She is only 2 months older than I and we are both proud of our round faces. It's fun having things in common with other babies! Check us out - I'm the lil Diva on the right. That's right!

Ok - it is WAY past my bed time and Daddy is giving me THAT look. I'm sure alot of you know what I'm talking about. So, I gotta go. I'll post more later this week - I promise!!

D-DAY

This is it, guys...my last weekend before the dreaded 'D-DAY', and by 'D' I mean DAYCARE. I start on Tuesday. It won't be my first time there, I 'faux' started a couple weeks ago, when Daddy took a week off of work + brought me into my new classroom to meet everyone and get used to the place. There were lots of new + different toys there that I went ahead and popped right into my mouth (they did say to make myself at home), and I subsequently caught a nasty virus. So I've been sick the past ten days and was too sneezy and stuffy to start daycare. Not to mention, it was all part of my master plan to get Grammy Bowers to come up to VT and hang out with me for a week while Mommy + Daddy worked. Let's just say my plan worked, right Grammy?

But now I'm feeling much better, and I guess I'm ready to start fulltime daycare for real (even though my Mommy is SOOOO not ready). Wish me luck...and help me decide what to wear on my first day! Here I am modeling several of my most stylish fashions (the last 2 outfits would make quite the impression, don't you think?)

Bedtime Stories

Last night (& nearly every night) I've been getting to read stories with mommy and daddy right before I go nigh-nigh. I wanted to show all those non-believers out there how much I do love reading books. A few of my favorites are "The Shape of Me and Other Stuff", "Horton Lays an Egg" and "Who Are You?" - which I am reading in the video below.

I gotta admit, reading is super fun! Especially when I am cuddled up on mommy's lap and questions are involved. I try to answer as many questions as I can by shouting out answers as they come to mind. I've gotten a few right so far... but hey, I'm just a teen-week-ager at this point so give me a break.

While we are on the topic I also wanted to include one of my favorite pictures from Christmas in Buffalo. This is a photo taken when I was on my Aunt Amy's lap while my youngest cousin Max was reading me "The Shape of Me and Other Stuff". I had such a great time that night. What a cool family I have.

While you are at it, check out my killer tights. They are b*tchin'.

Also, if someone can explain to me what that means, I'd really appreciate it. My daddy told me to write that last paragraph and I don't get it.

Anyway, to all my family, friends and admirers - I miss you all and can't wait to see you again soon! Keep on reading!!!

Christmas Festivities 'a la Peyton'

I realize it's already 2009, and yes, it's taken me until now to post about my first Christmas. Let's just say it was so much holly jolly ho-ho-ho fun that until this very moment I've been processing the enormity of what I experienced this holiday (and it might have a teeny bit to do with some camera technical difficulties on Mommy's part).

So anyways, WOAH - Christmas was AWESOME. I got to meet a boat load of amazing people, and the very best part is that I'm RELATED to most of them! We went to Buffalo and stayed at Gramma + Papa Brackenridge's house, which in itself was a total blast. Gramma + Papa kept me so entertained and loved...they gave me a bottle, played games with me, Gramma had long discussions with me about anything and everything, and Papa + I got to take a little nap together. Pure bliss.

On Christmas Eve Mommy + Daddy took me over to Mommy's cousin Wendy's house, and I met a bunch of people on Mommy's side of the family! I especially enjoyed being carried around by Mommy's cousin Jennifer, hanging out with Wendy + Mark, meeting my Great Aunt Beverly, and having my very first Pierogi and Polish sausage (well, it was Mommy + Daddy who actually ate that stuff, not me, but I at least got to see what all the hubub was about).

Christmas morning, I got up early + read the note that Santa left me. He left me a 'My 1st Christmas' ornament and he ate all the cookies I left out for him! So cool. We went over to my Aunt Amy's house where my cousins Sam + Max were busy opening all the presents that Santa brought them. I opened a lot of gifts, too...I got some amazing stuff. I finally had time at Aunt Amy's to hang out with Sam and Max...and I am one VERY lucky lady, because folks, my cousins...well, they are simply the best cousins around. And they are ALL MINE! Sam played with me with some of my new toys, and Max was worried that Sam's new video game was inappropriate for my young ears...he kept saying "I don't think Peyton should be hearing this!".

Later on, back at Gramma + Papa's, we had Christmas dinner with all the rest of the family. Uncle Tommy and Aunt Suzy were there, even Grammy Bowers came up with Holly, who I finally got to meet! Grammy + Holly brought me and my parents wayyyy too many nice, nice gifts. I wore a smokin' little red velvet number with a white furry collar and 'mary jane' tights. I looked GOOOOOOOOD, people. And the crowd appreciated it. Sam helped me with tummy time, Max read me my favorite book, Aunt Amy spent some quality time kickin' it with me.

I mean it...this was the best Christmas EVER, hands down. Nevermind that it was my only. If this is how Christmas is gonna be, I'll take it.
